TESTIMONY

“Aaron’s work contains a range of artistic subjects from abstract to realism. Though I’m partial to the textures and colors of his more abstract pieces, I admire his entire body of work because he puts passion to palette and curiosity to canvas.”

MY JOURNEY

Hello there, my name is Aaron Adkins and below is a collage of some of the works I’ve enjoyed making over the 15+ years.

I’m currently based out of Greensboro, North Carolina and I’m working on multiple projects both personal & commissions. View my CV below and send me a message of who I should contact next.

CV (Aaron Adkins)

Aaron Adkins, a contemporary abstract painter from Welcome, North Carolina, is renowned for his abstract expressionism, acrylic pours, and animal drawings. His work is distinguished by its exploration of artistic narratives and critiques of stereotypes he finds problematic. Adkins continues to develop his unique artistic voice through these themes.

A decorated interior space featuring a colorful welcome sign for Cypress Cottage with Pokémon-themed decorations, a large painting of a bug Pokémon on a wall, a window with a mural of a sunset or sunrise landscape, and a room with a Christmas tree and holiday decorations.
Two smiling men in black shirts, one wearing a beige apron and the other a gray beanie, standing in front of a colorful art display. The artwork includes paintings of animals, abstract designs, and a sunset landscape, with some paintings being held by the men and others hanging on the wall.

The artist employs brushes, knives, stamps, and their hands to create marks on canvas and vinyl. They use acrylic paint and LINERS, an innovative 3D acrylic paint, along with water and acrylic solvents or mixing mediums to produce distinctive color blends and textures.

I create art as a form of personal healing and to explore unsettling ideas, striving for versatility in my work—whether it tells a story, stands on its own aesthetically, makes an impact, or serves as a meditative practice. I aim to sell enough artwork to live comfortably and engage in discussions about art, design, colors, and culture while experimenting with innovative techniques on canvas using acrylic paint. I also seek to test new theories and ideas, hoping that financial success will enable me to continue expanding these artistic boundaries.
